Nau Roz!

Happy نو روز! (Nau Roz)
Yesterday was the Muslim New Year, celebrated on our 1st day of Spring. We enjoyed a day out of class to explore Afghan culture and food. One of the aspects of this course that I do enjoy is exposure to the nuances of culture you only get by living somewhere. Learning different card games and different rules for games like caroms and kite flying/fighting. Learning the intricate details of a culture is absolutely fascinating!

Birthright…
This word came to me last night and has been haunting me since. What message do we build a community around? What larger goal do we serve, that also supports our true goal of building up the relationship between the individual and God?
Perhaps its to help others reclaim their birthright as heirs with Christ…
