My thanks to two friends who posted the below scripture on Facebook:
“Blessed be the LORD my strength who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust…”-Psalms 144:1,2
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and …. your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
~Paul~ 2 Cor 9:6-11
There is a dedication that leads to total commitment, to martyrdom. I am passionate about my hobbies, about becoming resilient and securing for myself and my posterity personal and corporate Liberty. I want to be a better Christian.
See the difference? I do this morning. I want like I want a rare steak vs. a medium steak. It would be nice, I would rather it be rare, but I probably wont take the time to send it back to the kitchen if it comes out overdone.
I’m tired of wanting to be a better Christian. I’m ready to do a better relationship with my Warrior-King, be it unto my death. I’m not sure what that will mean today, but damn sure it will be more than a passing fancy!
