What a lot of strange emotions and thoughts I am having. Being back in Kuwait is very strange. Everything looks the same. All the tents, the MWR, the DFAC, the airport, all of it hasnt changed since I first saw it in ’03.

So many memories. So many faces. It’s more than a little surreal.

I both loved and hated seeing the chain of paper links my family made. Hated it, because it is so long. Hated the necessity of giving the kids a visual on how long Daddy is going to be gone. Loved it because it is such a beautiful testament to how much they love me.

I begin to understand the concept of Limbo.

I understand limbo all very well. At my limbo address, I have a library card and a mailbox where I get the light bill.

Every link is a reminder of how incredibly strong your little family is. They get that from you.
